Coed Varsity Indoor Track, Coed Varsity Track · Indoor Track State Championships – Boys finish 4th; Girls 13th

Congratulations to the Indoor Track team for their excellent performances at the State Indoor Championships held this weekend at the Spire Institute in Geneva. The highlight of the evening was the state championship earned by Junior Cameron Fancher in the triple jump. Cameron jumped 44-11 to earn the state title.

Cameron was joined by teammate, sophomore Tyler Stargel, who finished 4th in the triple jump to earn many team points for the Warriors.

Junior Elisha Stroder finished 5th in the 400 m dash and Junior Brenden Hill was 7th in the high jump.

The boys 4×200 relay of Jaden Roberts, Alijah Fleming, DeAndre Ham and Elisha Stroder finished 6th.

Cameron Fancher also finished 9th in the long jump. Kaelen Turner and Tyler Stargel were 11th and 21st in the 60m hurdles while Nathanael Bentz and Dakari Ward were 11th and 19th in the weight throw respectively. Elisha Stroder was also 20th in the high jump and Jaden Roberts finished 19th in the 60m dash to round out the individual races for Wayne.

The boys 4×400 team of Cameron Cantrell-Jones, Elisha Stroder, Jaden Roberts and Patrick Statzer was 16th.

The girls were led by the triple jumpers Sanai Lynch and Shamaria Davis who finished 2nd and 3rd. Sanai Lynch was also 13th in the long jump.

Freshman Megan Rybitski was 8th in the pole vault and Kaitlin Rybitski finished 22nd in the weight throw. Jasmine Kennerson finished 17th in the 200m dash and Jordan Hampton finished 20th in the 60m hurdles.

The girls 4x200m relay team of Jasmine Kennerson, Jordan Hampton, Shamaria Davis and Erionte Carlton finished 15th.
