Nate Baker is the new athletic director for Wayne Athletics. Baker has a distinguished career as an administrative leader and a track record of success for helping guide student-athletes to success in several other school districts.
During the course of his career, Baker has ten years of experience as an athletic director and has served for four years as the conference commissioner for the Metro Buckeye Conference. Baker was the athletic director for Yellow Springs Schools, Xenia Community Schools, and Tampa Bay Christian Academy at his previous stops. He has varsity coaching experience in both boys basketball and golf.
He has several notable accomplishments in helping school districts accomplish firsts during their tenure. While at Yellow Springs Schools, Baker helped create the school’s first Athletic Hall of Fame and acquired numerous sponsorships and partnerships to spur significant facilities upgrades. He successfully added three new varsity and two middle school sports programs while at Xenia Community Schools. Baker also directed Tampa Bay Christian Academy through their inaugural football season and created the school’s first weight room.
Baker also maintains memberships on the Southwest Ohio Athletic Directors Association, Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. Baker is a Cedarville University graduate with a major in sports management.
