Congratulations to the boys indoor track team for defending their state championship in indoor track today! The boys won their back-to-back state title in convincing fashion by earning 57 points, 24 points ahead of runner-up Reynoldsburg who had 33.
Senior Zarik Brown was the state champion in 2 events, 400m and 200 m dash to go along with his 4 place in the 60m dash.
Seniors Lucas Houk finished 2nd in the 800m run, Brian Hill 3rd in long jump and 6th in the triple jump, Justin Harris was 5th in the 60m hurdles, Dylan Beaird was 5th in the weight throw and Reed Feagle was 7th in the shot put.
Brown, Houk and Harris along with Jerrell Dixon were 6th in the 4×400 m relay. Harris and Dixon with Jaden Roberts and Alijah Fleming were 8th in the 4x200m relay.
The girls finished 17th as a team. Shamaria Davis was 3rd and Sanai Lynch was 6th in the triple jump. Davis along with KaNiya McGowan, Jordan Hampton and Kaya Stargel were 8th in the 4×200 relay.
