Beavercreek 7 Wayne 0
Wayne ran into a buzz saw Monday night as Brandon DeWitt pitched a complete game one-hitter. Kevin Baugh supplied the only hit of the evening in the first inning and our team failed to scratch another hit the rest of the game. Donchez took the loss but did not get much help from his defense as 4 of the 7 runs he gave up were unearned. Cole Kehl came in and pitched 2 2/3 innings of shut-out relief to keep us in the game but our bats were not up to the challenge. We are now 6-7 with a big game Tuesday in the Cincinnati Reds High School Showcase at WSU versus these same Beavers.
Don’t forget to come out and support your Warriors! The Varsity team is scheduled to take on Beavercreek HS at home 4-18 and Springboro HS at home 4-20.
