PASS IT ON!
Do you go through life in a bubble? I sure hope not, because each one of us have the ability inside us to positively affect others around us. One of the great things that team sports can teach us is how to be aware of others and to realize that what we say and how we act can change others in an instant. We want our young people to be able to PASS ON such things as kindness, caring and support for others.
Have you ever had a day that someone said something to you and turned what was a tough day into a day that suddenly got a little better? What a difference we can make in other people’s lives even when we think that we are not. To me, everyone has a positive purpose in life, but to fulfill that purpose we need lifted up by others around us. So the next time that you see someone slumming or looking like their day isn’t going well, say something positive to lift them up or even give a smile and a good morning. We never know when we will need one of those PASSED ON to us…
Fall sports have gotten off to a great start. The football team will host Upper Arlington this Friday in a scrimmage game at home. Game time begins at 7:30pm and admission is free. This will be the last scrimmage before the opening game at Gahanna Lincoln (Columbus) on Friday, August 29. Hope to see everyone out supporting our young people. A community of Pride….
